Updates stay close, even when the window is closed.

Update Atlas can keep running in the menu bar. See the update count and open an item’s appropriate update action from the list.

03 / Managed components

See what lives inside an app.

Extensions and helper components stay with the app that manages them. For example, Visual Studio Code extensions appear beneath Code instead of becoming unrelated top-level apps.

At home in Terminal, too.

Your Mac stays yours.

Update Atlas has no usage analytics or automatic inventory upload. Scanning reads local software information; update checks contact the relevant sources when needed.

A JSON coverage report is optional. You can inspect it, save it locally, or send it yourself. Nothing is submitted merely because you scanned.
